The production process of glass fiber aerogel mat mainly includes the following steps:
1, glass fiber pretreatment: the glass fiber is cleaned and dried pre-treatment steps to ensure the quality and purity of the fiber.
2, preparation of aerogel sol: The preparation of aerogel sol steps are similar to ordinary aerogel felt, that is, silicon source compounds (such as silicon dioxide) and the solvent mixed and heated to form a uniform sol.
3, coated fiber: the glass fiber cloth or yarn in the sol for infiltration and coating, so that the fiber and aerogel sol full contact.
4, gel formation: After fiber coating, it is gelated. The method of gelation can use heating, pressure or chemical crosslinking agents to promote the aerogel to form a solid gel structure.

5, solvent removal: similar to the production process of general aerogel felt, the gel needs to be desolvent treatment, so that only the solid aerogel structure is left in the fiber.
6. Heat treatment: Heat treatment of the glass fiber aerogel felt after solvent removal to enhance its stability and mechanical properties. The temperature and time of heat treatment can be adjusted according to specific requirements.
7, cutting/molding: After heat treatment, the glass fiber aerogel felt can be cut and molded to obtain the desired shape and size.
8, surface treatment (optional) : According to the need, the surface of the glass fiber aerogel felt can be further treated, such as coating, covering or functionalization treatment, to meet the specific application needs.
