Hydrogenated silicone oil is a key product among silicone oil varieties. It is not only the starting material for many modified silicone oils, but also can be used to obtain a variety of modified silicone oils through silane addition reaction, such as polyether modified silicone oil, long-chain alkyl silicone oil, epoxy modified silicone oil, etc.
According to the different hydrogen content, hydrogenated silicone oil can be divided into high hydrogenated silicone oil and low hydrogenated silicone oil.
Ⅰ. What is high hydrogenated silicone oil?
Scientific name: polymethyl hydrogen siloxane, a colorless and transparent liquid.
As a special type of organosilicon compound, high hydrogenated silicone oil has a wide range of application prospects in many industrial fields with its unique molecular structure and chemical properties. It is a linear polymethyl hydrogen siloxane with high reactivity and stability, and is an important raw material and intermediate for many chemical reactions.

Waterproof treatment of building materials and decorative materials: High hydrogen silicone oil can be used as a waterproofing agent, applied to the surface of building materials such as glass, ceramics, leather, paper, metal, cement, marble, etc., to form an effective waterproof film, thereby improving the waterproof performance and service life of the material.
2. Textile industry: It can be used as a finishing agent for fabrics (such as cotton, linen, silk, acrylic, polyester, etc.) to improve the waterproof and anti-fouling properties and durability of the fabrics, while improving their feel and drape. V. Preparation method of high hydrogen silicone oil
Methylchlorosilane direct hydrolysis equilibrium method can be used. The specific steps are as follows:
Raw material preparation: The main raw materials are methyl (hydrogen) dichlorosilane and trimethyl chlorosilane, of which methyl (hydrogen) dichlorosilane is the main raw material, and trimethyl chlorosilane is used as a capping agent.
Hydrolysis equilibrium reaction: The main raw material methyl (hydrogen) dichlorosilane and the capping agent trimethyl chlorosilane are subjected to a hydrolysis equilibrium reaction to obtain a hydrolysis product.
Acid removal treatment: The hydrolysis product is separated to remove the acid water therein.
Catalytic equilibrium reaction: Concentrated sulfuric acid is added as a catalyst to carry out a equilibrium reaction.
Acid separation treatment: Sulfuric acid is separated and removed.
Water washing and acid removal: The product is washed with water to remove residual acidic substances.
Removal of low molecular weight substances: The product is treated to remove low molecular weight substances, and finally the finished product of hydrogen-containing silicone oil is obtained.
It should be noted that although high hydrogen-containing silicone oil has a variety of applications, in actual use, it is necessary to select the appropriate type and concentration of products according to specific application scenarios and needs to ensure the best application effect.
