Introduction to Aerogel Insulation Materials:
The aerogel thermal insulation coating is a thermal insulation coating that combines nano-porous SiO2 aerogel powder with an organic-inorganic composite binder system and a microporous spatial structure. It can withstand a high temperature of 800℃ and has excellent thermal insulation properties. Aerogel insulation materials are revolutionary new materials. With their unique micro-vacuum structure combined with thermal barrier shielding unit structures and outstanding thermal insulation properties, they show broad application prospects in numerous fields.
Causes:
Aerogel is a material with nanoscale pores (20-100nm) and three-dimensional nano-skeletal particles (2-5nm). It has an extremely high porosity of up to 99.8%, and an extremely high specific surface area of up to 1000m²/g. These characteristics make aerogel have an extremely low thermal conductivity, as low as 0.013W/(m·K) at room temperature, which is much lower than that of traditional insulation materials. Moreover, the density of aerogel is very low, as low as 0.003g/cm³, which enables it to provide excellent insulation performance while maintaining a lightweight feature.
