1.Aerogel particles
Using aerogel particles can achieve aerogel insulation. Just fill these loose aerogel particles into the cavities of the double-layer walls, and you can achieve the insulation effect. The thermal conductivity of aerogel particles is approximately 19 milliwatts/(meter・kelvin). This product makes it possible to renovate without damaging any building components. However, to achieve the insulation effect, an appropriate filling method must be adopted to avoid generating dust, as dust can easily escape through small cracks.
2. Aerogel毡
The aerogel insulation board can reduce heat loss by up to 60%. Its thermal insulation performance is extremely low, with a heat transfer rate of 0.018 watts/(meter·kelvin). The aerogel insulation board is most suitable for thermal insulation of interior walls. It is breathable and can also be applied to uneven surfaces. The thermal conductivity of the aerogel insulation board is as high as 15 milliwatts/(meter·kelvin). The aerogel insulation board also has excellent fire resistance, and its fire resistance is classified as A2 level. The aerogel insulation board can be used for thermal insulation of thermal bridges and window edges, as well as for water pipes and solar hot water pipes.
3. Aerogel Plate
The aerogel board is very similar to the aerogel mat. The difference is that the aerogel board is harder and thicker than the aerogel mat. The aerogel board is basically made by bonding several layers of aerogel mats or boards together, or by laminating aerogel particles into a sheet. Due to the presence of several layers of aerogel mats, the thermal conductivity of the aerogel board is as high as 16 to 19 watts/(meter·kelvin). It is most suitable for use in the insulation of interior walls.
4. Aerogel panel
By filling the pores with aerogel particles and placing them between two semi-transparent or transparent panels, an aerogel semi-transparent panel is formed. These panels can be made of plastic or glass. Both sides of the semi-transparent panels are tightly sealed to prevent dust from entering. The thermal conductivity of the aerogel semi-transparent panel is approximately 19 milliwatts/(meter·kelvin). Due to the already high thermal conductivity, the U-value of the panel remains relatively low.
The main feature of this product is that it combines high insulation performance with the transmission of diffused light.
5. Aerogel concrete
Aerogel concrete is an ultra-light concrete system, with its main components being aerogel particles or powders. The primary purpose of producing aerogel concrete is to combine the high strength characteristics of concrete with the excellent thermal insulation properties of aerogel.
The aerogel concrete not only has a high compressive strength but also possesses a considerable thermal conductivity. This makes it suitable for use as the exterior wall of multi-story buildings without the need for further insulation treatment. Aerogel concrete is an economical solution and is also easy to operate.
