Silicone oil usually refers to linear polysiloxane products that maintain a liquid state at room temperature. Silicone oil-related products have been widely used in industrial production, national defense, scientific research and medical and health departments.

     1. Silicone oil is widely used in motors, electrical appliances, electronic instruments as temperature resistance, arc resistance, corona resistance, corrosion resistance, moisture, dust insulation medium, silicone oil is also used as transformer, capacitor oil, to reduce the size of the transformer, power increase, improve safety and pollution-free;


     2. Silicone oil as shock-proof anti-damping oil, widely used in instruments, buffer dampers, shock buffers, automotive internal combustion engines in the torsion shock absorber, overload relay circuit breakers, circuit cutters in the buffer liquid, automobiles, aircraft ammeter, speed meter in the shock-proof absorption oil. Using silicone oil as liquid spring, small volume, light weight, can withstand a large impact force in a wide temperature range, can be used as an aircraft or missile landing gear vibration absorber;


     3. Silicone oil as a release agent, widely used in plastic molding, rubber processing, metal casting, paper making, glass products, fiber, food, etc., with strong release, high product surface accuracy, less dosage, a brush multiple use, safe, clean, tasteless, non-toxic and other advantages;


     4. Silicone oil is a widely used defoamer with strong defoaming power, high temperature resistance, non-volatilization, high chemical stability, no mold and safety, widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, printing and dyeing, coating, pharmaceutical, leather, fermentation, food and other aspects;


     5. Silicone oil is suitable for rubber, plastic bearings, gear lubricants and lubrication of machinery and precision instruments under high and low temperature conditions, and silicone oil with special additives can also be used as wear-resistant and extreme pressure lubricant;


     6. Silicone oil can be used as a surface treatment agent, and about 10% silicone oil solution or emulsion is applied to the surface of glass, ceramics and metal. After heat treatment at 150-300℃, a layer of semi-permanent waterproof, mildew resistant and insulating thin mold can be formed. It can also be used for waterproof treatment of paper, leather, building materials and fabrics;


     7. Silicone oil as an additive, adding a small amount of silicone oil to materials such as paint, rubber, paraffin and resin can significantly improve the water resistance, brightness, oxidation resistance and improve the processing performance of these materials;


     8. Medical and health applications: The defoaming properties of silicone oil can be used as agents for the treatment of pulmonary edema and bloating and as defoaming agents for artificial heart-lung machine. The ointment and protectant made of silicone oil as the base agent can improve the penetration of the drug to the skin, and has a good effect on scald, dermatitis and bedsore. The utensils treated with silicone oil have anticoagulant effect and can prolong the storage time of blood samples.

Other uses: silicone oil can also be used as high temperature bath and heat carrier, heat exchange system of precision instruments and instruments, for dry copiers to prevent printing and manufacture various polish agents. Using silicone oil to treat the head can eliminate static electricity and improve the quality of drawing. Adding silicone oil to cosmetics can improve skin care and moisturizing effects.
